Power 90 Success Story ~ Aaron

by andrew on October 7, 2008

Before Power 90, Aaron Mathis was morbidly obese.

He wasn’t able to lay on his side because the weight physically hurt his heart.

“If not for Power 90, I’d be on my way to an early grave. I’d been warned for years that I must lose weight.”

He topped the scales at 297 pounds… he has now lost 107 pounds… lost eleven inches off his waist - not fitting into a size 42 pair of jeans to now fitting nicely into a size 32.

He’s been asked several times by people he knows if he had surgery to lose the weight… did you get your stomach stapled?

Through Power 90, Aaron is literally a new person.

“People are amazed at what’s happened to me”.

His story…

Kimberly’s Fitness Journey

by andrew on September 24, 2008

Kim’s journey to losing weight and good health began with her decision to stop smoking.

Six and a half years ago Kimberly’s daughter, Kimeisha asked her to quit smoking.

In her own words… “I did not want my mother to get a ‘black heart’ and die. I want her to be here a long time for me — for when I get married and have kids”.

Kim’s weight loss journey was tough.

To reward herself for making it through the day without smoking, she would stop at fast food restaurants. two for three bucks

“I just kept eating and eating. I replaced one vice with another… it was a very low point in my life”.

Late one night she caught one of the “Turbo Jam” infomercials on TV… and it changed her life forever!

I’ll let Kim and Kimeisha share with you the rest of her weight loss ‘transformation’ story.

  feel beautiful
When describing myself to   others I always said I have a good personality“.

Now?… she feels as good as she looks - and once you have watched her video you’ll agree, she looks great!

Using P90, she lost 30 inches off her body, is down to a size 8 and no longer hides from the world.

Low Calorie Diets Don’t Work

by andrew on September 12, 2008

If our bodies need to burn a certain number of calories to maintain our body weight, then it should be easy to lose weight, shouldn’t it?

Common sense would say that all we have to do is slash the number of calories that we consume.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of studies that disprove this line of thinking and show that this does not work… not for the long term.

A study published in the American Journal of Nutrition, for instance, showed that a group of individuals on a low calorie diet, who lost an average of 26 percent of their body weight during the course of the study, were not able to keep that weight off.”

EVERYONE in the study regained almost 75 percent of their lost weight within three years of completing the study. And many studies show even worse results than that.

If weight loss were as simple as consuming no more than 1000 calories a day, or to consume no more than 1500 calories a day, then everybody who wanted to would be skinny.

There are a number of reasons why a low calorie diet won’t lead to long term weight loss. [click to continue...]
